INSTRUCTIONS
Project 3: Final Project
Students are required to produce Visual Effects video or stop
motion video (Animation stream) by a given theme. Voice over,
sound effects and music can be used, to tell a compelling story.
Confine to no more than 2 characters/ locations and only 1 event
in less than 15 shots.
PROJECT 3: FINAL PROJECT (VFX)
Project 3 began with group formation of 2 people.
After which me and me teammate had to come up with a
script and VFX tutorial to follow. We chose a VFX
tutorial of a money duplication trick.

Then we begin working on the script. We worked on the initial script, which we later made changes after the lecturer's feedback.

After which we worked on our second refined
script
Figure 1.3 Refined script
After developing our script we started working
on the storyboard and making the proposal
slides.
Then we worked on filming the clips. We have decided that Navaira my teammate would do the filming while I would work on the editing.
Figure 1.5 clips
After filming I started working on the VFX
of the video. I began by importing the
clips in After Effects and aligning them
in accordance to the reference video. I
divided the clip into 5 different clips. 1
of the phone swiping the money and 4 of
the money being thrown across the
table.

Then I began individually masking
each clip of the money being
thrown.

Then I imported the video into Premier Pro
and began compiling all the clips in
accordance to the script

Then I added sound effects and music.

I faded the audio for the music.
REFLECTIONS
This task has allowed me to learn and master video editing in premier pro. True this task I got a better handle on premier pro. I also learned how to use after effects better. I was given the opportunity to dabble in VFX and get ideas on how its edited. I also learned how to prepare a script and break it down into different shots to make the plot more effective. Throughout this task I was given valuable feedback from our lecturer in terms of how we could better improve our works. Overall I enjoyed doing this module.
