LECTURES

In week 10, we got an introduction into Adobe After Effects.

After effects :- is a 2.5 D animation software used for animation, visual effects, and motion picture compositing. It is used to manipulate imagery, combine layer of video and images into same scene.

Motion Graphic Animation works by manipulating vector and rasterized art to create and tell a story. 


CLASS SUMMARY


In week 10, Mr. Fauzi requested that we be done with project 2 by Friday. He looked through our finished posters and gave us feedback. He have an introduction of what we will do in Adobe After Effects and our next assignment. By next week we are required to do a practical with the help of the tutorial video. This task will help us in our final assignment.


WEEK 10 PROJECT 4A

For this week we were assigned a practical to help us with our final assignment. We were given a psd file of a collage and have to animate it in after effects with the help of the tutorial video

I imported it into After Effects and created five new folders labeled :- 01_COMP, 02_PSD, 03_A1, 04_MOV, 05_AUDIO.


I selected the circle and applied rotation transform of 45 degrees to it and back


I selected the second circle and applied scale transform from 100 percent to 70 percent and made it go in a loop. 


I selected the fish and used the position transform to make it move up and down and made it go in a loop

REFLECTIONS

This practical was very helpful as it made me familiarize with an editing program like Adobe After Effects. It taught me how to animate a still image. The example video taught me how to organize my files into different folders. It also taught me how to create a composition. This exercise helped me apply transform tools such as position, scale, rotation. Overall I find this practical helpful in improving my technical knowledge in Adobe After Effects
